The Botanical garden and the Astronomical Observatory of Strasbourg center has about: 6,000 different species of plants from all continents.
It covers an area of 3.5 hectares and includes an arboretum, green patches, a alpinum and greenhouses.
Opened in 1884, is one of only three French botanical gardens to have a strictly academic status.
